The Senior Research Scientist role focuses on pathfinding of practical leading techniques for quantum computations on Google’s processors

• Research and develop methods for high-accuracy quantum computation on noisy practical systems
• Collaborate with experiments to validate and stress-test work in practical scenarios
• Innovate, patent, and publish research findings in peer-reviewed publications and present at conferences

• PhD degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantum Information Science, or a related technical field or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in Quantum Computing, Chemistry, Computational Physics, Mathematical Modeling, or Applied Mathematics
• Experience in noisy quantum systems, quantum noise modeling, and error mitigation/suppression techniques
